Game Description
Discard cards by matching color or number. Use special power cards to thwart your opponent.
Complete Rules
The game is played with a deck of 108 cards, which consist of four colors (red, green, blue, and yellow) and each color has numbers from 0 to 9, Skip, Reverse, Draw Two, and Wild cards. The game begins with each player being dealt seven cards. The remaining cards are placed face-down on the table to form a draw pile, and the top card is turned over to start a discard pile. On each turn, a player must do one of the following: • Play a card from their hand that matches the color or number of the top card on the discard pile. For example, if the top card on the discard pile is a red 7, the player can play any red card or any 7 of any color. • Play a Wild card to change the color in play, or a Wild Draw Four card to change the color and make the next player draw four cards. A player can only play a Wild Draw Four card when no other card can be played. • Draw a card from the draw pile if they cannot play a card from their hand. If this card can be played, it will be played automatically. • If a player plays a Skip card, the next player's turn is skipped. If a player plays a Reverse card, the order of play is reversed (in a 2 player game, this card acts as a Skip). If a player plays a Draw Two card, the next player must draw two cards and their turn is skipped. The game ends when a player has no cards left in their hand, and they must call "UNO" (which means "one" in Italian) to indicate that they have only one card remaining. If a player forgets to call "UNO" and is caught before the next player starts their turn, they must draw four cards as a penalty. The player who gets rid of all their cards first wins the game, and scores points based on the cards remaining in the other players' hands. The first player to reach 500 points wins the overall game.
